El Niño is showing no signs of slowing down. According to the latest update from the Climate Prediction Center, this climate phenomenon is expected to not only persist but strengthen further through the end of 2026, with a 97% chance it will continue into early spring of 2027.
Recent observations reveal sea surface temperatures across the central and eastern Pacific remain significantly above average—a classic signal of El Niño’s presence. Atmospheric and oceanic patterns are reinforcing each other, making forecasters highly confident in the event’s ongoing strength. In fact, there’s an 81% likelihood that El Niño will be classified as “very strong” by late fall, ranking it among the most notable since records began in 1950. Impacts vary from year to year, but stronger El Niño events often tilt the odds toward distinct weather patterns worldwide, including increased storminess or unusual drought in various regions.
The Climate Prediction Center continues to monitor these conditions closely and will release the next update in August. For now, communities and decision-makers are urged to stay informed as this powerful climate driver evolves. |

Tip of The Day |
𧳠Travel Tip of the Day: Pack One “Just in Case” Bag Before you hit the road, pack a small bag with the things you do not want buried under luggage:
Keep it where you can reach it, not stuffed in the trunk. Because when you are tired, hungry, lost, rained on, or stuck waiting somewhere, that little bag can feel like the smartest thing you packed. |

Secret Little Hack |
βοΈ Cooling Hack of the Day: Wet Towel Behind the Neck Feeling overheated? Try this simple trick: Wet a small towel with cold water, wring it out, and place it behind your neck for a few minutes.
Why it works: the back of your neck is close to major blood flow, so cooling that area can help your body feel cooler fast. For an extra boost, toss the towel in the fridge or cooler first.
Great for:
Reminder: keep drinking water, take shade breaks, and do not ignore dizziness, confusion, nausea, or heavy fatigue. Heat can sneak up quick. |
